Contour works without an account. You can optionally Sign in with Apple.

You can delete your account inside the app: Menu › Account and membership › Account › Delete account. Deleting disconnects your Apple sign-in and clears the session on this device; your drives stay on your phone. Records you uploaded to the cloud are not deleted: remove each one with Delete from Cloud in the Cloud list, or email landezingcorp@gmail.com.

There are two monthly subscriptions: Driver and Coached. Cancellation and refunds go through Apple: Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. The app also has “Restore Purchases”.

Cloud backup is optional: moving drives from the PC capture tool to your iPhone with a pairing code, the reference lap pool (only laps you share) and friend comparison. These are stored in our storage on Google Firebase.

AI reports work three ways. Default: the session summary goes to our own server and is passed to a language model there; name, email, phone and raw coordinates are masked first. Your own key: the summary goes directly to the provider you chose (Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini), never through us. Web page: the summary is copied to the clipboard and Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini opens; you send it there yourself.

To find the track boundary, only the drive area's bounding box is sent to OpenStreetMap (Overpass).

How do I connect the PC recording tool to my iPhone? The Contour recording tool on your computer creates a pairing code. On the iPhone Today screen, tap Pull from Cloud, type the code into the pairing code field and tap Connect. You can also create the code on the phone: Pairing › New code copies it to the clipboard; paste it into cloud_config.json in the Windows tool. The same code opens the same drives on every device.

How do I add Apple Watch heart rate to a drive? Two ways. After the drive: start a workout on the watch, stop it when the drive ends, then tap Import from Apple Health on the drive summary; the app reads heart rate for that time range from Apple Health and asks for permission the first time. Live: with Apple Watch — live, heart rate comes from the Contour app on the watch during the drive.

My drive isn't in the list. On the Today screen tap Pull from Cloud; if it can't connect, tap Refresh. The pairing code on the computer tool and on the iPhone must match. If you change the code, drives under the old code won't show; enter the old code again to bring them back.
